JOIN US FOR OUR MEMORIAL WEEKEND CREEK WALK!

Memorial Day weekend May 23-25 10am to 3:30 ( you need to pre register) The price of a non-heaping, 5-gallon bucket of rocks is $150 on Saturday and $125 on Sunday (We currently do not have enough interest in the Sunday hunt so we are planning to cancel Sunday ONLY at this time.) You must provide your own buckets.
There is a 1 bucket minimum purchase requirement for every 2 people in your group.
There is no photography/videography allowed on the property without owner consent. All video royalties belong to the property owner.
We accept debit/credit cards. 8.225% sales tax must be added to all non-cash sales.
This hunt ranges from easy to very hard. Left-over ungraded and AS-IS quality geodes from big equipment digs from all areas of the property are placed in the creek to be picked up. If you are up for more of a challenge you can also dig for geodes in the creek bed, however, there is VERY LIMITED success with digging & it’s hard shale in the creek bed. We find lakers, banded chert nodules, septarian, fossils, #jasper, sunglow agate, garnets, honey chert, several kinds of geodes & more.
There are NO guarantees on what will be found in unopen geodes. We do find some amazing inclusions in our geodes, but we also find solids-this is part of the risk of geode hunting. We want people to enjoy their hunt and spend their money where they feel comfortable, so please do not hunt our property if you are apprehensive or unsure about our pricing, the quality of our geodes, or the risk associated with hunting our property. We do not offer refunds.
There is a waiver of liability that has to be signed. This is REQUIRED before you can rock hunt. There are multiple cameras on our property. Please keep in mind that you may be on camera at any time and refrain from using the restroom outside. We have multiple outhouses spread throughout the property and our employees and volunteers are happy to transport you via UTV or truck to the nearest outhouse when possible.
This is an outdoor hunt in the woods. You may need to walk through uneven, wet, and/or muddy terrain. Rocks and foliage may have sharp edges and/or thorns. There are also a variety of bugs and animals that live in the woods that you could possibly come in contact with. Please dress accordingly, bring any kind of insect/animal repellant that you may want to use, and use proper footwear.
If you find an open geode in the creek you can put it in your bucket, but please do not open geodes that are found unopen. If you are caught opening geodes in the creek you will be asked to leave.
We will do our best to provide transportation for you and your buckets from one of the many designated drop-off points on the property. Your waiver of liability must be signed and your name must be written on your bucket before we will provide transportation. We have Sharpies available at the property to mark your bucket so you can leave it at a drop off point rather than carrying it forever. You are responsible for your own buckets. We will provide transportation for them, but we will not assume responsibility for them.
Absolutely NO drug/alcohol use allowed on the property. If you show up to the property under the influence you may be asked to leave. Do not leave the approved area for hunting unless you are accompanied by someone in a Woodies Rock Shop shirt. Not following the rules will get you removed from the property immediately. Owners reserve the right to refuse anyone for any reason.
Like always we will have several employees and volunteers who are happy to answer any questions and help in any way they can. (We will not pick geodes out for you, sorry). We do our best to keep up, but we do have a limited amount of helpers with #Geology expertise so please be patient. We want your experience to be fun and we hope you find some amazing beauties!
There is a small possibility that we will open up the opportunity for a group big equipment dig on Monday at a proven spot on the property. There are more regulations and higher costs associated with a big equipment dig, however, it is also much less physically demanding as the excavator does the majority of the work.  People who participate in big equipment digs get first pick of the geodes that are dug.  We are going to stick to last year's prices for this event (even though diesel has gone up tremendously) and only require a 1 bucket purchase if we can get enough participation.  This is a Fabulous Keokuk Geode Site rock hunt in Saint Francisville Mo. up in the N. E. Corner of Missouri on the Iowa line.
